Vidar Koksvik

Vidar Koksvik is a Norwegian glass artist, born in 1969 and educated at Glasskolan in Orrefors and The Surrey Institute of Art and Design. He runs Klart Glass with Kari Håkonsen, with activities at Tjura in Grue and Bærums Verk.

Blown glass and chandeliers

Koksvik works with blown glass and chandeliers, among other forms. Klart Glass produces sculptural works, public commissions and functional glass. Artist and workshop names should therefore be stated precisely. A connection to Klart Glass alone is insufficient to attribute an object personally to Koksvik.

Identification

Compare an object with documented works and record its signature, dimensions, colours and known provenance. State the artist, collaborators and executing workshop separately where known. For chandeliers, document the number and condition of glass components. Distinguish original components from replacements, and retain labels, receipts and commission details with the object.
