Vortic

Vortic is an American watchmaker whose products include the American Artisan Series. This range places restored American pocket watch movements, older dials and hands in newer wristwatch cases. The name on an old dial may identify the original pocket watch maker, while Vortic is responsible for the later wristwatch.

The company documents restoration before assembly and also assesses customers' own pocket watches for conversion. Each example's documentation matters: movement numbers, photographs before conversion and details of the newer case record different parts of its history.

An old movement does not make the entire wristwatch equally old. Describe the movement and conversion separately when buying or selling. Check the individual reference before stating material, dimensions or water resistance. Features of one Vortic range do not automatically apply to every watch bearing the brand.
