Zeitwinkel

Zeitwinkel is an independent Swiss watch brand that, according to its own history, began in 2006. Watches and movements are assembled by hand in Saint-Imier. The brand developed its own mechanical movements before designing the finished watches.

The manufacturer's technical history describes the base calibre ZW0102 and date calibre ZW0103, developed with a partner in Le Locle. It also describes work in its own workshop and by specialist partners. 'Manufacture movement' should therefore not automatically be taken to mean that every component is made under one roof.

When assessing a used Zeitwinkel watch, compare model reference, calibre, displays and service history. Information on a current model page does not automatically apply to an older watch. The manufacturer's overview describes movement plates in German silver, known as nysølv in Norwegian. This material name should not be confused with a statement of silver fineness. Check case material and dimensions for the particular example as well. A manufacturer's history cannot guarantee that all parts of a used watch remain original. See also wristwatches.
