Bunad Knife – Tore Noddeland ca. 1990s
Description
Handmade bunad knife by Tore Noddeland, crafted in traditional Norwegian style. The knife is complete with its sheath and represents a solid piece of craftsmanship, with the blade, handle and sheath all made by the same craftsman.
The handle is carved in holly wood with deep, detailed vine ornamentation. The fittings are in 925 silver, hallmarked T.N, with fine hand-engraved decoration. The sheath is made of leather with a carved pattern and silver fittings that harmonise with the knife's overall design. This is a classic bunad knife, worn with folk costume on festive occasions such as 17 May and other celebrations.
A decorative and tradition-rich collector's item, as well as an authentic accessory for bunad.
