Dennison
Dennison is associated both with historic watch-case manufacture and with a newer watch brand. Dennison Watch Case Company supplied cases to other makers. The brand's history names Rolex, Omega, IWC, Jaeger-LeCoultre and Zenith among them.
Case versus complete watch
A Dennison case does not establish that Dennison made the whole watch or its movement. Examine case, dial and calibre separately. The newer brand presents ALD collections and credits designer Emmanuel Gueit with its first collection. Modern specifications cannot be applied to historic cases.
Identification
Record internal case marks, numbers, metal designations and movement signatures, then compare documentation for the particular watch. Historical water-resistance terminology gives no assurance of present performance. Neither material nor gold content can be inferred from the name alone.
