Ekenberg Scandinavia (Per Ekenberg)
Ekenberg Scandinavia is a Norwegian jewellery brand founded in 2017 by Swedish designer Per Ekenberg. Its designs draw on Scandinavian nature and minimalist forms. Collections include Preikestolen, Fjords of Norway, In Your Hand and Flying Birds.
Designer and manufacturer
The brand identifies the design identity. Arven states that it makes Ekenberg jewellery by hand at its Bergen factory. Per Ekenberg as designer, Ekenberg as brand and Arven as manufacturer should therefore be recorded as separate roles.
Identifying a second-hand piece
Record the model, dimensions, metal marks and any purchase documents. Compare the piece with documented images from the relevant collection. A nature motif alone cannot establish an attribution. A brand name also does not establish a particular responsibility mark. Examine and photograph the marks on the actual jewel before stating its fineness or identifying the workshop that made it.
