Kathrine Lindman

Kathrine Lindman is a Norwegian jewellery artist and designer based in Kristiansund. Both her own presentation and her profile with Norske Kunsthåndverkere describe nature, the sea and coastal landscapes as important starting points for her work.

Seashell is a signature series inspired by shell forms. Her website describes the series as handmade in silver and enamel. Such a material description must still be associated with the correct model and version, rather than every piece carrying the Lindman name.

The Seaweed works show why this distinction matters. Her profile with Norske Kunsthåndverkere documents both dried seaweed cast in silver and another work described as silver-plated dried seaweed. Silver used for casting and a silver coating on an organic material are different constructions. Check the individual work's description before determining material or treatment.

For assessment, record the series name, measurements, visible marks, receipt and any exhibition documentation. An ocean-inspired pattern does not itself prove authorship. Preserve documented ownership history and distinguish it from uncertain attribution. No responsibility marks or master-craftsperson titles are assigned here.
