Kieser Design
Kieser Design is a small independent watchmaker near Frankfurt, Germany, led by founder and engineer Matthias Kieser. Its own account combines machining, engineering and goldsmith craftsmanship. Watches are made in small batches.
Titanium and construction
The manufacturer describes the tragwerk structure as an external titanium skeleton inspired by natural structures. It lists several key components made in-house, including cases, crowns, hands, dials, rotors and buckles. This should not be rewritten as a claim that all complete movements are developed in-house.
Distinguish versions
The current catalogue separates tragwerk 2.0, Signature Edition and custom projects. Document the exact version when cataloguing a watch. Compare case construction, dial, rotor and any numbering with accompanying papers. A limit on one edition need not apply to all Kieser watches. Check materials, movement and dimensions for the specific model, particularly when comparing an older example with today's products.
