Lebois & Co

Lebois & Co is a watch brand established by Raymond Dodane in 1934. Its own history describes a later period of inactivity and a revival under Tom van Wijlick in 2014. The original establishment and modern revival are separate milestones rather than evidence of uninterrupted production.

The modern history includes Avantgarde Date and Heritage Chronograph. A historically inspired dial may belong to a modern model. Brand name and styling alone do not date an example to the interwar period.

When assessing used watches, compare reference, movement, case and documentation. Do not apply current dimensions, power reserves or certifications to earlier models. Record whether information concerns a historical watch or a modern revival. Provenance and service records can assist assessment, whereas a familiar brand name alone does not establish that every component is original.
