MARNAUT

MARNAUT is a Croatian watch brand founded by Mario Jutronić. Its own story connects the designs with an Adriatic upbringing and the island of Brač. A distinctive feature is the radial arrangement of luminous dial markers inspired by a sea urchin's shell. This pattern is a design feature rather than a separate timekeeping function.

Documented model families include Dark Surge, Seascape and Safe Harbour. MARNAUT describes its current production as using Swiss Sellita movements with assembly in Pforzheim, Germany. Brand identity, movement origin and assembly location are therefore separate facts.

When assessing an earlier watch, establish the model and generation. Today's movements, dimensions and depth ratings cannot automatically be applied to older versions. The dial pattern aids recognition but should be checked against the reference, case back and original documentation.
