S12 Gallery and Workshop

S12 Gallery and Workshop is an artist-run exhibition space and shared glass workshop in Bergen, Norway. It combines exhibitions, studio access, artist residencies and teaching. Its name may therefore appear in records concerning both the production and exhibition of glass art.

A workshop used by different artists

S12's own presentation describes facilities for glassblowing, casting, model and mould making, grinding, polishing and sandblasting. Artists can rent studio space. Its equipment list also includes kilns for fusing and casting. This does not make S12 a single artist or a uniform product range.

If a work was bought, exhibited or made at S12, record those facts separately. An exhibition label may document a connection with the venue without establishing the artist or production method by itself. Check the work's title, artist name, catalogue information and receipt before making a firm attribution.

Documentation and next steps

Retain signatures, labels and ownership history. Record size, documented technique and visible damage in a condition report.

Explore other available works in glass and crystal. When enquiring about your own work, explain whether you seek a sale assessment or a formal valuation.
