VPC (Venustas Per Constantiam)

VPC is a Dutch watch brand founded in 2023 by Thomas van Straaten. The initials stand for Venustas Per Constantiam, the full wordmark also used on its dials.

Roles and models

VPC’s presentation distinguishes its founder from external collaborators. Max Resnick contributed as watch designer for the debut Type 37HW, while TAN SA in Chiasso is named as a partner for technical development, assembly and quality control. The Type 37HW has manual winding and small seconds. These are model characteristics, not a rule for every VPC watch.

Secondhand identification

The brand states that watches are produced in batches and later versions may change. Check model, edition, dial and documents against the appropriate batch. Venustas Per Constantiam and VPC identify the same brand. The founder’s work as a writer for Fratello does not make the publication the watch manufacturer or a shareholder.
